The Harley-Davidson® Sportster® range has been updated for 2018 with the introduction of two new models; an Iron 1200TM and Forty-Eight® Special. As a hallmark of the Harley-Davidson brand, the 2018 models optimise the proud company history.
Part of a Harley-Davidson drive to launch 100 high-impact motorcycles by 2027, the new Sportster models feature throw-back designs, custom graphics and high handlebars. Powered by the Evolution 1200 V-Twin engine, the Iron 1200 and Forty-Eight Special have a real custom bike look and feel. Combining bold colour stripes with a formal typeface and graphics popular back in the 1970s.
Harley-Davidson Iron 1200
With a garage-built chopper look, the jet-black Mini Ape handle bar adds attitude. This is amplified by a West Coast styled gloss black screen framing the headlight.
The classic ‘Peanut’ fuel tank will be available in Vivid Black, Twisted Cherry and Billard to complement the power train that is entirely black in colour. The only chrome on display are the push rods that highlight the V-Twin engine, with the look finished by black 19” (front) and 16” (rear) 9 spoke wheels.
Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Special
A 7.25” high Tallboy handlebar finished in black complements the Forty-Eight burly front end. A choice of fuel tank colours will include Vivid Black, Billard White and Wicked Black. The Harley-Davidson logo features horizontal stripe framing. Chrome complements the Evolution 1200 engine and includes inspection and derby covers, solid chrome muffler and exhaust shields. Micheline Scorcher 31 high-performance tyres are fitted on the black split 9-Spoke cast aluminium wheels.
